Bacon Scalloped Potatoes

1/4 c butter
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c milk
4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 small onion, chopped
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 c grated cheese

Steam potatoes for 10 minutes till partially cooked.  In saucepan melt butter.  Stir in flour and salt until smooth.  Gradually add milk.  Bring to boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
In a greased 2 qt baking dish, layer potatoes and onions.  Pour white sauce over the top.  Sprinkle with bacon and cheese.  Cover and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until tender.
