Rhubarb Surprise Crisp

1/2 c granulated sugar OR 1/4 c honey
2 Tbs cornstarch
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 cups sliced fresh or frozen rhubarb
2 cups chopped strawberries or berry mix
2 Tbs snipped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried
topping:
1/2 c flour
1/2 c quick oats
1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tbs melted butter

Combine first 6 ingredients for fruit filling in the bottom of a 2 quart baking dish.  Mix topping together and sprinkle over fruit.  Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes.

I enjoy this the day after for breakfast . . if there's any leftover!
